Job Title: Commercial Real Estate Attorney

Location: Raleigh, North Carolina

My client is seeking an experienced Commercial Real Estate Attorney to join their growing legal team. This role involves handling a wide range of real estate matters including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, and development of commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate transactions and a proven ability to manage complex deals from start to finish.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
• 3–7+ years of experience in commercial real estate law (varies by role).
• Strong knowledge of property law, contract law, zoning, and real estate finance.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with title and survey review preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial leases, purchase and sale agreements, easements, and related documents.
• Conduct legal due diligence for real estate transactions including title review, survey analysis, and zoning verification.
• Advise clients on land use and zoning matters, permitting, and regulatory compliance.
• Represent clients in real estate closings and coordinate with lenders, title companies, and other involved parties.
• Manage real estate litigation or disputes, including landlord-tenant conflicts or contract enforcement.
• Assist in structuring and negotiating real estate joint ventures, partnerships, and financing arrangements.
• Monitor changes in real estate law and assess potential impact on clients’ business operations.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including finance, tax, and development departments to support project goals.
