Fast-paced manufacturer is seeking a Chemical Process Engineer to work on process and project engineering tasks in their high-volume, process-oriented manufacturing plant. Daily you will be responsible for the following tasks:
Candidates should enjoy working in a team environment, be willing to support other engineering team members and have the ability to take ownership of projects. Individuals should enjoy spending 50% or more of their time on the manufacturing floor. This is a high-profile position that will partner daily with production and quality. REQUIREMENTS for the Chemical Process Engineer:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering
2. Minimum of 1-3 years of process engineering experience in a similar manufacturing environment
3. Experience working in related process-oriented manufacturing environments, including chemical, coating, refinery, food and/or beverage industries
4. Experience overseeing capital equipment projects
5. Mechanical aptitude
6. Basic project management, including overseeing project timelines
7. Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
Skills preferred but NOT required:
1. Experience overseeing capital equipment project budgets
2. ERP experience
3. PLCs, robotics and/or automation experience
4. Lean Certification
5. Experience overseeing contractors
6. 2D and/or 3D modeling experience
7. P&ID diagrams
8. Experience completing CI functions, including scrap reductions, improving line efficiencies, etc.
