Salary Range: $20.8200 - $32.0300 /hour. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, skill level, and education.
The Cath/EP lab CST is responsible for the transport of elective and emergent patients under direction of an ACLS RN to and from the Cardiac Catheterization Lab and Holding. Assists with safe transfers of patient on/off procedure table with RN. Transports blood products urgently to proper location as well as lab samples and specimens to appropriate clinical lab areas as appropriate. Transports non-controlled pharmaceuticals to lab when ordered. Stays abreast of lab schedule and while anticipates finishing cases, completes room turn-around and sanitizing procedures in timely fashion. While maintaining proficiency in OR standard room cleaning concepts, is responsible for educating lab staff regarding proper sanitizing practices and signs off competencies. Responsible for orienting and sign- off of employees to supply distribution centers (i.e. loading dock/central supply, sterile supply, lab, pharmacy). Responsible for receipt, distribution, and storage of supplies while utilizing technology-based LEAN par management system. Serves as a department resource and product liaison. Collaborates with technologists to manage availability of sterile instruments available for use.
