Lish (lishfood.com) is a fast growing Seattle startup that creates high quality and innovative dining experiences for office workers. We partner with independent chefs, restaurant owners, and food truck purveyors who are passionate about crafting meals. Each chef tells their unique story through their food, bringing a variety of cuisines and styles to our rotating menu. Lish creates weekly meal plans for our clients and provides exceptional meals designed for each client in a seamless manner.

Catering Operations Associate

As a Catering Operations Associate, you play a key role in ensuring seamless catering deliveries, driver coordination, and operational efficiency. This role offers a fast-paced and ever evolving environment where no two days are the same, giving you the opportunity to problem solve in real time and make a tangible impact on daily operations. You are a team player who thrives in a dynamic environment and are committed to providing exceptional service to customers, colleagues, and chef partners.

This is a full-time, hourly position with opportunities for growth into a salaried role. This position reports to the Catering Operations Manager and works inside our SODO warehouse amidst the Catering Leads and Onsite Attendants who serve our clients each day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate order dispatch and return
  • Follow up with drivers to investigate problems that occur during their delivery and identify the cause and take corrective action to prevent the problem from repeating
  • Review daily schedules and address last-minute order updates
  • Provide training and support to staff, ensuring clarity in procedures and expectations
  • Quickly and accurately prepare gear and supplies for the next day’s orders
  • Actively watch, and correct, if needed, the Onsite Attendants at the end of their shifts to ensure they complete all their responsibilities each day
  • Implement process improvements to enhance workflow and service quality
  • Maintain and track inventory of supplies and equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and Prep room space
  • Attend required meetings and collaborate with team members to optimize operations
  • Deliver catering orders as needed

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree 
  • Strong skills in operational support
  • Experience in data analysis, process improvement, efficiency, and cost-saving initiatives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid Food Handler’s Permit or willingness to acquire one within two weeks of starting
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs
  • Valid driver’s license, vehicle, and car insurance 
  • Experience in food service, catering, or delivery (preferred)

Hours are M-F

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
