Job Description

**CAT Engine/Plant Operator - Miramar, CA** **Description:** + The CAT Engine/Plant Operator performs all functions for safely operating at the plant. This position reports to the Area Manager and shares accountability of the day-to-day operations of the site. The goals of this position are to maximize production and minimize downtime with the utmost regard to safety, cleanliness, and environmental compliance. **Duties and Responsibilities:** + This position will be responsible for operating, adjusting, and repairing equipment required to maximize plant production in a safe and environmentally compliant manner. + Previous experience working with Caterpillar Engines is a must. + Experience working with 3500 series CAT engines. + Maintain detailed records on production data, equipment operational hours, service schedules and equipment outages. + Check all operating equipment daily to correct conditions before failure occurs. + Perform all maintenance and repairs on the operating equipment including oil and filter changes, replacement and repair of valves, blowers, compressors, and other plant equipment, as necessary. + Participate in preventative maintenance outages and overhauls. + Maintain a high level of cleanliness in and around the plant. + Keep all on-site parts and supplies stocked and well organized. + Respond to call outs in a timely manner. **Additional Experience:** + Oil levels, pressure systems, gauges. + Inspecting the plant. + Admin Work/Data Entry/Log Sheets. + Plant Maintenance. + Preventative Maintenance. + Operating and maintaining equipment on the plant. + Basic hand and power tools. + Minor repairs. **Experience Level:** + Intermediate - Expert Level. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
