Quality Engineer – Auburn Hills, MI

📍 Location: Auburn Hills, MI

💼 Direct Hire | $95,000 – $110,000

We are seeking a Quality Engineer - Automotive Domain to join our team in Auburn Hills, MI.

🔹 Must-Have Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent degree.
• 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a medium to high volume manufacturing environment preferred with respect to one or more of these areas: automated assembly equipment, complex product assemblies, mechanisms, metal and plastic forming, injection molding technologies, tooling, fixtures and gauges
• Knowledge of automotive audit such as VDA6.3, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, specific Customer and Layered
• US Citizen or Green Card Holder only.
• ✈️ Up to 25% travel

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality systems, PPAP processes, and customer interaction within a high-volume manufacturing environment.

🔹 Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and maintain the PPAP process and support quality improvement initiatives.
• Work with cross-functional teams to implement quality tools: PFMEA, Control Plans, Gauge R&R, and 6-Sigma methods.
• Analyze quality data (scrap, rework, capacity) and drive corrective actions.
• Facilitate 8D problem-solving , root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Conduct internal and external audits , supporting IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and customer-specific standards.
• Support APQP activities and new product launches.
• Review inspection methods, tooling, and measurement systems.
• Act as a key liaison with customers and represent the plant in quality meetings.
