Hello! We are so excited to meet you and welcome you into our family! We live in Austin, TX with our 15 month old, Theo, and 14-year-old Chiuahua, Chloe. However, we are expecting twins in the fall. We will be a big family with 3 young babies but we want you to know that we are very engaged as parents and look at childcare as a team effort that you will be helping us with. At no time will you be expected to be the full time nanny for all 3 children, as we'll have time off from work to help or have them in school. Still, we recognize that 3 children under 2 years old requires a lot of work. We are definitely willing to negotiating higher weekly pay and some travel benefits to compensate for that. Austin is a vibrant city with a lot of areas to explore and a great outdoors culture. There will never be a dull moment and we encourage you to experience our city and country during your time with us. We live in the Northwest Hills neighborhood. It is primarily residential but a short drive to downtown and popular shopping areas. You would have a private apartment located behind our home with your own kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, and living space with a TV. You are always welcome to eat, cook, and spend time with our family. We want you to have a private space as well to recharge while not working. While you will be a huge help to our family in care-giving, we also acknowledge that this should be a very rewarding experience for you as well. We will do everything possible to provide you with the opportunities to make this a memorable time in your life. A little more about you... We are looking for someone who will love and care for our children, and share their culture with our family. At the beginning, your main priority will be taking care of Theo until he starts school in January 2024. The twins will be around 3 months by then, but we will have paternity leave from work until they are nearly 6 months old. We would ask that you assist with the twins, getting to know their routine, between Theo going to school and us fully returning to work. At that point, around April 2024, the twins would become your primary responsibility. We both work from home a lot so we would be available to help from time to time or answer any questions. However, this wouldn't be consistent so we really need someone who is okay watching twins throughout the day. Our primary need is during work hours on weekdays, but we may occassionally ask for evening or weekend time to go on a date night or run errands that are difficult to do with kids.
