Salary Range: $25.23 - $31.84 / Hourly + Benefits

Job Description:

Position Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Shop Attendant to join our team at our Savannah, GA facility. In this role, you will assist in the day-to-day operations, including the issuance of tool room items, preparing tooling and parts for shipping, supporting shipping, and receiving, loading and unloading engines, maintaining shop organization, and completing general assigned tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver and remove engines to and from the maintenance shop.
• Maintain shipping and receiving documentation according to quality system requirements.
• Organize and maintain the outside tool yard, ensuring proper storage and inventory of tooling.
• Ensure shop technicians have access to properly maintained and serviceable tools.
• Maintain on-site equipment such as forklifts, lifting, and slinging devices.
• Support calibration tracking and maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked work environment.
• Obtain forklift certification for handling aircraft engines.
• Work in varying weather conditions, lift components up to 50 lbs, and be available for extended hours, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years of experience in aviation tooling, or Associate’s degree with 2+ years of experience in aviation tooling.
• Ability to pass standard background and pre-employment screening requirements.

Preferred Requirements:

• Forklift certification.
• Experience in a machine shop environment and familiarity with audit processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Understanding of aviation tooling drawings and repair procedures.
