Job Description

Our client is a well-established national litigation firm with a strong Midwest presence. Their Product Liability practice is extremely busy and they're looking to hire two skilled Product Liability Associate Attorneys in their St. Louis office. These newly created roles are due to continued growth in the firm’s product liability practice and offer the opportunity to work with a high-performing, collaborative team on complex and meaningful litigation.

Position 1: Product Liability Associate (4–6 Years Experience)

The firm is seeking an associate with 4 to 6 years of experience handling a broad range of product liability litigation. This role offers the chance to take ownership of cases and work closely with experienced trial attorneys and firm leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Represent manufacturers, suppliers, and other product-related clients in complex litigation
• Manage cases from investigation through trial preparation
• Take and defend depositions, draft motions, and participate in hearings
• Collaborate with clients, experts, and co-counsel

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Licensed in Missouri or eligible for prompt admission
• 4–6 years of product liability and/or toxic tort litigation experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong organizational and case management abilities

Position 2: Product Liability Associate (2–4 Years Experience | Focus on Asbestos Litigation)

The second opportunity is tailored for an attorney with 2 to 4 years of experience, with a focus on asbestos litigation and related product liability matters. The role involves high-volume, fast-paced litigation support and advocacy.

Responsibilities:

• Defend clients in asbestos and related toxic tort cases
• Attend depositions, hearings, and mediations
• Oversee discovery, including document production and witness interviews
• Work closely with partners and clients on litigation strategy

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice in Missouri (or ability to gain admission quickly)
• 2–4 years of litigation experience, preferably in asbestos or toxic torts
• Excellent research, writing, and advocacy skills
• Ability to thrive in a team-oriented litigation environment
