Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Event Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of events that engage and educate our audience. This role requires strong public speaking skills, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The Event Specialist will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure successful event outcomes.

Duties

• Plan and execute events from conception to completion, ensuring all details are managed effectively.
• Present information clearly and engagingly to diverse audiences, including children and adults.
• Write compelling content for event promotions, educational materials, and follow-up communications.
• Manage event budgets, ensuring all expenses are tracked and reported accurately.
• Utilize databases for tracking event registrations, participant feedback, and fundraising efforts.
• Collaborate with team members to develop innovative ideas for events that align with organizational goals.
• Educate participants about the organization’s mission and programs during events.
• Oversee collection management during events, ensuring all materials are organized and accessible.
• Coordinate logistics such as venue selection, catering, audiovisual needs, and transportation.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in event planning or coordination is preferred.
• Strong public speaking skills with the ability to engage audiences effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Experience working with children is a plus; ability to create age-appropriate content is essential.
• Proficiency in budgeting and financial management related to event planning.
• Familiarity with databases for managing event data and participant information.
• Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box when developing event concepts.
• Strong writing skills for creating promotional materials and educational content.
