Primary Services is actively recruiting for an Application Tester – Billing & Invoicing Systems to support a leading organization in the energy industry. This fully in-office position is ideal for an analytical professional with a solid understanding of billing systems who can identify functional gaps, execute tests, and work closely with technical and business teams to ensure accurate and seamless billing operations.

Responsibilities:

• Review business requirements and functional specifications to develop comprehensive test cases for billing applications.
• Execute manual and automated tests for system enhancements, updates, and new functionality.
• Identify, log, and manage software defects using issue tracking systems such as JIRA.
• Analyze test results, determine root causes of anomalies, and collaborate with developers for timely fixes.
• Validate billing logic, calculations, invoice generation, and system data integrity.
• Perform regression testing during system patches or upgrades.
• Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to confirm requirements and validate test outcomes.
• Support test data creation and environment preparation.
• Recommend and implement improvements to QA practices and documentation standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in application testing or QA, preferably in billing or financial systems.
• Proficiency in billing processes and invoicing workflows.
• Experience using test case and defect management tools.
• Working knowledge of SQL for data validation and analysis.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Proficient in written and verbal communication.
