Do you want to want to work at a company that helps saves lives? Do you love taking care of animals? The Animal Care Technician provides basic husbandry services or perform tasks involved in the care, maintenance, and welfare of research animals (e.g. mice, rats, rabbits, dogs, non-human primates and swine). Starting pay $17.50/hr. Full time and Part time shifts available.

How you’ll Contribute

• Fast paced environment where you are responsible for producing high quality clean caging and general Animal Care
• It involves pushing and pulling large animal caging
• Loading and unloading the caging into a large rack washer
• Daily room clean
• General cleaning duties (mopping, trash, etc.)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• This is an entry level position and previous animal experience would be beneficial
• Basic computer and math skills
• Ability to communicate (verbal and written) in a professional manner
• This is a physical position in a warm environment
• Position requires the ability to bend, squat, kneel, and stand, for up to 7 hours/day
• Position also requires wearing of PPE (face mask, face shield, goggles, hair net, scrubs, etc.)
• Be able to regularly push and pull heavy objects and safely move or lift heavy loads (up to 50 pounds)
• All schedules include weekends, holidays and occasional overtime
