Job Description

Law firm in Morris County, NJ is seeking an administrative assistant to support their office and assist with event coordination. Enhance your administrative skills in a dynamic law firm environment. Collaborate closely with attorneys and staff on impactful projects. Benefit from a hybrid work arrangement for flexibility.

Hybrid schedule: onsite 4 days per week

Hours: 9am - 5pm

Salary range: 55k - 60k base

Responsibilities:

  • Support attorneys in a fast-paced law firm environment, ensuring efficient operations and professional client interactions.
  • Coordinate and manage administrative tasks, including scheduling, document preparation, and event planning.
  • Contribute to the firm's success by maintaining organized systems and ensuring confidentiality.
  • Develop skills in legal operations and client service through hands-on experience.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure seamless workflow and task completion.
  • Participate in planning and executing firm events, enhancing team engagement and client relations.
  • Utilize advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for efficient task management.
  • Work in a hybrid environment, balancing in-office and remote work responsibilities.

  • Produce, format, and edit legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive client and firm information.
  • Organize and manage filing systems, ensuring easy retrieval of documents.
  • Plan and execute firm events, considering budgets and dietary restrictions.
  • Document attorney billable hours and expenses, assisting in invoice preparation.
  • Ensure conference room readiness and manage scheduling for meetings.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field is required.
  • 1–2 years of administrative or legal experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Professional demeanor and a strong client-service focus.
  • Reliable and resourceful, capable of handling confidential information appropriately.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, balancing in-office and remote tasks.
  • Experience in event planning and execution is advantageous.
