Description

We are looking for an accountant to join our tax and advisory practice. This is an excellent opportunity to take the next step in your career at a public accounting firm providing specialized tax and consulting services.

The Accountant will play a key role in delivering high-quality tax compliance, consulting, and advisory services to our diverse client base. You will manage multiple client engagements, lead engagement teams, and develop practical solutions to complex tax and accounting issues. Building strong client relationships is critical for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage tax compliance engagements including review of returns and workpapers
  • Conduct tax research and provide consultations on various federal, state, and international tax matters
  • Identify tax planning opportunities and develop strategies to minimize tax liabilities
  • Prepare technical tax memorandums, opinions, and other client communications
  • Assist clients with accounting advisory projects, systems implementations, and process improvements
  • Review and prepare financial statements, reports, projections and analysis
  • Develop expertise in specialized areas such as M&A, restructuring, R&D tax credits etc.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff on tax and advisory engagements
  • Maintain current knowledge of new tax laws, accounting guidance and regulatory changes
  • Build long-lasting relationships and identify opportunities to expand services

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Taxation;
  • Knowledge of federal taxation, and state/local tax regulations
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; presentation abilities
  • Proficiency in MS Office, tax software, and data analytics tools
  • Proven project management and time management skills
  • Client service mindset and ability to develop productive relationships
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience mentoring staff

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
