Salary : $210,000 – $240,000
SUMMARY
The President & CEO of the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Eastern Pennsylvania Chapter is a mission-driven, results-oriented executive responsible for advancing the merit shop philosophy, enhancing member value, and strengthening the voice of over 550 construction-related businesses across the region.
As the face of ABC Eastern PA, the President & CEO leads strategy, operations, and advocacy efforts in coordination with a forward-thinking Board of Directors. This role requires strong business acumen, political savvy, and leadership experience in a dynamic nonprofit or trade association environment. A passion for free enterprise, workforce development, and industry innovation is essential.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & Strategy
• Drive the implementation of the chapter’s strategic vision in collaboration with the Board.
• Serve as the primary spokesperson for the Chapter, maintaining visibility with stakeholders, media, and government.
Operations & Financial Management
• Lead all aspects of financial management, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Supervise a professional team, foster internal alignment, and ensure compliance with labor and legal standards.
Membership Engagement
• Enhance member value through quality programs, networking, and training.
• Develop and execute effective membership growth and retention strategies.
Government & Public Relations
• Act as a leading voice in legislative and regulatory advocacy efforts.
• Build and nurture key relationships with local, state, and federal decision-makers to advance industry interests.
Board & Governance
• Provide regular updates and strategic insights to the Board of Directors.
• Execute and oversee policies, programs, and by-laws as approved by the Board.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND EDUCATION
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, nonprofit leadership, or related field required; CAE designation preferred.
• Experience: 7–10 years of senior-level leadership in a trade association, nonprofit, or business environment.
• Financial Management: Demonstrated strength in managing budgets, financial reporting, and forecasting.
• Industry Knowledge : Familiarity with or direct experience in the construction industry is highly desirable.
• Communication : Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences including members, government, and media.
• Governance: Skilled in Board relations and organizational leadership with a track record of high-level stakeholder engagement.

COMPENSATION
• Salary Range : $210,000 – $240,000 (commensurate with experience)
